Carbon intensity targets, digital optimisation tools and asset flexibility are reshaping LNG investment and project planning.
LNGCON 2026 brings these priorities into focus through roundtable discussions on 9-10 March 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.
As part of the Congress structure, dedicated roundtables provide a focused, closed-door setting for around 30 senior participants, including five expert speakers. Each delivers a 15-minute intervention with Q&A, followed by a moderated discussion involving all participants to ensure practical, experience-based exchange.
Such format allows the session to focus on digital platforms, renewable gas integration and engineering solutions that improve efficiency and carbon performance. Speakers include Dennis Rohe at Imubit on AI-driven optimisation, Carbon Farming Germany on bio-methane and biochar integration, Mauro Nicoletti at Kanadevia Inova Schmack Biogas on Spain’s biomethane pathway and Thilo Schiewe at Linde Engineering on decarbonisation technologies.
During this session attention shifts to hydrogen, ammonia and small-scale LNG demand, with a focus on technical readiness, scalability and market positioning. Confirmed contributors include experts from GECF, Chiyoda Corporation Netherlands, Engie Lab Crigen, DVGW, Verband Die Gas und Wasserstoffwirtschaft and German LNG Terminal GmbH.
Together, both roundtables connect upstream decarbonisation with terminal transformation. The dialogue continues at the official Gala Dinner at Codorníu Winery, offering an opportunity to deepen conversations in a more informal setting.
